Fashion's Night Out 2010 - A Fashion Extravaganza!!

19:40

Fashion's Night Out 2010 kicked off last night in New York with a meticulously organised runway show, but like we could really expect any less from Anna Wintour. Anna Wintour created Fashion's Night Out last year when the industry was in economic and crisis, and what a genius idea it was. It gives everyone from celebrities to the general public a tiny taste of what fashion week would be like for the people who were fortunate enough to attend and see the spectacular display. This year it will last for a whole week and will take place in 16 different countries. Last night it was kicked off in France, tonight Fashion's Night Out will take place in the UK and Korea, tomorrow will see Australia, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain celebrating, before moving to India, Russia and the USA on the 10th, Japan and Taiwan on the 11th, before finishing up in Greece and Turkey on the 16th.

This year New York Fashion Week has moved to the Lincoln Center and it was the perfect setting for this fashion extravaganza. It was the biggest runway show ever to grace New York City, featuring 170 models including Naomi Campbell, Giselle Bundchen, Lily Donaldson, Chanel Iman, Allessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Coco Rocha and Sasha Pivovarova to name but a few. A select few models arrived on a open top bus with Giselle Bundchen kicking off the show, the models then paraded around the audience with great precision and formation without any hiccups. All the trends for this fall were on show... Plaid, Fifties, Minimalism, Camel, Military, Global Traveller, Jazz Age and a rework of the Rocker Chic... it was just simply AMAZING!! What I would have given to have been there. Below is video of the whole night with interviews and commentary by Vogue's very own Andre Leon Talley, but if your desperate to see the show skip ahead to the 32 minute mark...
